Memphis MPO Safety Action Plan
From their website> The Memphis MPO planning area is home to approximately 1.16 million residents and serves as one of the nation’s most important transportation, logistics, and freight hubs. The Memphis MPO area covers two states (Tennessee and Mississippi), four counties (Shelby, Fayette, DeSoto, and Marshall), and 18 municipalities. To continue efforts to improve roadway safety, the Memphis MPO updated its Safety Action Plan, which was adopted by its Transportation Policy Board on July 30, 2026, with a main goal of evaluating progress, incorporating the latest safety data, and refining regional strategies for reducing fatalities and serious injuries on roadways.
